Open passage
Thus Lakshmaṇ in his anger spake,
Open passage
Quick panting like a spell-bound snake:
Open passage
“Canst thou, my brother, Indra's peer,
Open passage
When I thy minister am near,
Open passage
Thus grieve like some forsaken thing,
Open passage
Thou, every creature's lord and king?
Open passage
My vengeful shaft the fiend shall slay,
Open passage
And earth shall drink his blood to-day.
Open passage
The fury which my soul at first
Open passage
Upon usurping Bharat nursed,
Open passage
On this Virádha will I wreak
Open passage
As Indra splits the mountain peak.
Open passage
Winged by this arm's impetuous might
Open passage
My shaft with deadly force
Open passage
The monster in the chest shall smite,
Open passage
And fell his shattered corse.”
