Open passage
And only waits that he may see
Open passage
Redeemed the promise made by thee.
Open passage
For thee he risked his life and fought,
Open passage
For thee that great deliverance wrought.
Open passage
Then let us trace through earth and skies
Open passage
His lady wheresoe'er she lies.
Open passage
Through realms above, beneath, we flee,
Open passage
And plant our footsteps on the sea.
Open passage
Then why, O Lord of Vánars, still
Open passage
Delay us waiting for thy will?
Open passage
Give thy commands, O King, and say
Open passage
What task has each and where the way.
Open passage
Before thee myriad Vánars stand
Open passage
To sweep through heaven, o'er seas and land.”
Open passage
Sugríva heard the timely rede
Open passage
That roused him in the day of need,
Open passage
And thus to Níla prompt and brave
Open passage
His hest the imperial Vánar gave:
Open passage
“Go, Níla, to the distant hosts
Open passage
That keep in arms their several posts,
Open passage
And all the armies that protect
Open passage
The quarters,631 with their chiefs, collect.
Open passage
To all the luminaries placed
Open passage
In intermediate regions haste,
Open passage
And bid each captain rise and lead
Open passage
His squadrons to their king with speed.
Open passage
Do thou meanwhile with strictest care
Open passage
All that the time requires prepare.
Open passage
The loitering Vánar who delays
Open passage
To gather here ere thrice five days,
Open passage
Shall surely die for his offence,
Open passage
Condemned for sinful negligence.”
