Open passage
Down from the tree Hanumán came
Open passage
And humbly stood before the dame.
Open passage
Then joining reverent palm to palm
Open passage
Addressed her thus with words of balm:

“Why should the tears of sorrow rise,
Open passage
Sweet lady, to those lovely eyes,
Open passage
As when the wind-swept river floods

Open passage
“I am that Sítá wooed and won
Open passage
By Daśaratha's royal son,
